| | | Vitex Angus-Castus (Chasteberry) for Peri-menopause? Answered by: Susan Eagles Question from: Lisa Posted on: October 14, 2007
I have started taking angus cactus for hormonal imbalance that I feel I have, I’ve purchased the drop tincture which I take first thing in the morning. Ihave noticed a difference in 2 days already. A miracle (maybe not) that is what I was hoping you could tell me please.
I am 38 years of age, I run regularly, and eat healthily, have a large family and I’m self employed in a physical job. Over the last five months have been up and down emotionally, and have factors that could account for my mood swings. But I know when I am having them, that it isn’t what I want to feel like, but I can’t stop myself going into my yo-yo moods. So I spoke to a health food store, and she suggested angus cactus. Please can you advise that I have chosen the right natural path to a harmonious mood?
Yes, it sounds as though you have found a good solution. Your hormones are changing, and this can contribute to mood swings. Vitex agnus castus (chasteberry) helps to balance hormones, and is used for the symptoms of peri-menopause. Please see other items on chasteberry and peri-menopause on our website www.richters.com . Choose Q&A from the main menu, then enter "chasteberry" for one search and "peri-menopause" for a second search.
