Addiction, Iboga
Answered by: Christine Dennis
Question from: Aaron

I have a friend who is addicted the narcotic methanphetamine, I was wondering if there was any herbs that could help him get sober?

Yes, there is and it is called iboga (Tabernanthe Iboga). Iboga is an African rite of passage herb that is used to reset the body to back before the addiction took place. It is the root bark that contains the ibogaine alkaloid that is responsible for the treatment. Ibogaine is a medically approved medication.

In Canada there are a few treatment clinics that use the ibogaine: www.torontoibogainecentre.ca http://www.ibogatherapyhouse.net/
